Morning, thought i would join up and introduce myself, my names hutchie & im from the highlands of scotland. I do mainly lightweight backpacking because of my back as i suffer from a trapped nerve which can easily be tweeked & i also make some of my own equipment. I served three years with the british army as well &.i currently work as a security officer.

West highland way is not one of the walks i wanna do as quite frankly because every man and his dogs done it. I wanna do the pennine way or fife coastal route. Then one day the camino

Hutchie: Maybe "Every man and his dog has done it" but few Yanks have. Here's others I've done: Camino, Paine Circuit, Annapurna Circuit, Dingle Way; Routeburn, Caples and Kepler,; West Coast Trail, Tour du Mont Blanc. Come on over and we'll do the Wind Rivers in Wyoming.

Hey trekkerman, what i mean is that that most walkers in britian have done the west highland way. Its quite commonly done here
