Hola from Taos, NM

I'm new to this forum, but have been reading Trail Groove for a while now. Hope to connect with day hikers around the Taos area. I feel very lucky to be living here!! I grew up in NM and have been working my north since childhood. Taos is home.

Love the Taos area. My wife spent our two year wedding anniversary there and I've done many hikes/backpacks in the area.

The Pecos is one of my absolute favorite area as well.

Thank you for the welcome note! There are so many places to hike here. Just behind my house is Forest Svc land with a nicely maintained trail that Rocky Mtn Youth Corps keeps in shape--for non-motorized only! The new Rio Grande Monument area outside of Pilar is a favorite of mine--lots of trails, petroglyphs, and historically active. And the new Columbine/Hondo wilderness area--I believe it backs up to the Pecos wilderness as well. Special places all! Hope to meet you and your wife up here one day!
