Hello from little rhode island

Found this site by chance. Very nice! I am 53 yo male who just started backpacking this year. Myself and a friend chose to do the south rim grand canyon last march for our first trip. Very grueling and painful considering I thought I was in some sort of shape. End result, very rewarding. Worked through the pain and had a ball. Now we are trying to come up with a warmer weather trip tp do in January of 2015. Big bend caught my attention but due to our lack of experience decisions are hard to make. Any suggestions for a more planned out trip where we won't experience any snow.:confused: Give me a few years and then maybe I'll consider snow, but not just yet. Thanks all..

Hey! I am also new here too.

In January I wouldn't know where to go... I've only done summer trips honestly. A lot of places are going to have snow especially mountainous regions
