The huts in Switzerland

I'm planning my next big adventure to Switzerland next summer. Has anybody been? I'm interested in knowing how the huts work. We'll base ourselves near Zermatt and hope for one trek over night to a hut. Any advice is welcome. :-)

The Swiss hut system is awesome, a great model for the US. There are 3 cable cars that take you from Zermatt to the Alps Range and the Klein Matterhorn. Check out the Ice Caverns they have at the top and of course the skiing is incredible. If you have the time, you might take the train to Interlaken and take the Jungfraujoch to the Eiger range!
