Hi guys, I'm a 39 year old male living currently in St. Johns (Jax) FL. I like many have dreams of someday moving out west, however, I'm learning to make the best with what I have here. I'm a weekend hiker although I do put some miles in. Yesterday I did about 9 miles.

I'm a military veteran, and its interesting your perspective on hiking as you age. I was able to hike 30 miles in a day (hours!) back then and hated it, now I would struggle to do that but now, I would LOVE it!

I am always looking for adventure companions (my family hates hiking/camping) and am going to be logging some miles in the Smokies this year.

Hike further.

I can relate too. My family won't go hiking or camping with me. And backpacking buddies are hard to come by. I'm always looking for the next adventure and someone to share it with.
