Hi everyone,

My name is MaryEllen but most folks know me as MEB. I've been an avid hiker in the Whites since about 2003 and I have also done a few long distance trails. I kind of stumbled on to this site and decided to join.

I am overdue for a long backpack and plan to venture out to the Collegiate Loop in 2015! I'm sure many of you have experience out that way so I may be looking for advice in the near future!

Hi MEB! You lucky hiker to live in Vacationland! My favorite section of the AT is the Bigelow Range, mouth-watering mountaintops and backwoods like they were untouched by man. I have a friend named twigeater, do you know her?
