Halfmile maps are the gold standard for most PCT hikers. I went in on a group printing of the download of all the sections of the PCT on full sheets 8x11. Almost a half ream of paper! On another note, the herd is moving through quickly. At a local backpacking shop in Tahoe, The Lake of the Sky Outfitters, this time last year they had about 10 or so hikers come thru. (They are a resupply stop). This year they have had over 75...and growing daily.
