So glad to read TrailGroove will be published 9x a year. Boy, could I relate to The Remedy! Out on the trail is about the only time the 'committee' in my head is silenced. Ultra Food will be on my shopping list, thanks. Was Seeking Fall...the Drive Home?

Hey TollerMom,

Glad you liked the news! Yeah, Seeking Fall was in effect the Drive Home for Issue 11...It seemed like the story ended up being more "On the Trail" than not though, so we decided to just use the story title for this one. However, seems like we should probably keep the name. :D

Aaron,

Finally caught enough time to read Issue 11. Yes, I am very pleased we will now be able to receive 9 issues per year; good news indeed!

I also especially enjoyed "The Remedy", sounds very familiar, but great to read it in such a fine article. Silence is indeed golden and often very hard to find.

As always, keep up the wonderful work, and happy trails.

The Drive Home to me always feels like a sigh, like the feeling of taking off the pack, of taking off the boots and wiggling toes, of smiling in memory of the last blaze of color on a sunset. It's a satisfying way to finish reading the magazine.

TollerMom,

Really appreciate your thoughts and take on the Drive Home. It is definitely here to stay.

rasty,

I stumbled across TrailGroove at Issue 1, and am pleased to agree with you on this point. There has been tremendous growth, with continuing excellence in photography and articles. But best of all, TG is real; plus shows respect to amateur backpackers and hikers such as myself.

I assume most readers are not "professinals" who get to do this for a living. For me this is just for fun and relaxation.
