Dangers on the trail and deploying 'emergency shelter' in Tahoe

The weather is finally warm enough for shorts so we took a little hike up to Eagle Lake. This is a popular trailhead for tourists because the lake and falls are only about 1.75 miles off the highway.

Coming out we ran into an emergency situation......

and had to deploy my emergency shelter I carry (aka trash bag)...
