Hiking near NYC (preferably near a Metro North Railroad Station)

Hey guys. I only just joined so forgive me if I'm in the wrong area for asking this question. I live in NYC and would love to do a  Two/Three/Four day round hike. Is there anything anyone could recommend? I'm on the metro north line so I can get out of town pretty easily. Thanks in advance.

Welcome! We’ve covered some areas that would probably be more dayhiking oriented close by (map here) but for backpacking, I think I’d probably look along the Appalachian Trail and either do an out and back or use the A.T. as part of a loop. Not a specific suggestion but hope that helps kindle an idea or two.
