Search and Rescue effort in the Sierra

Permission to cross post this effort to recover a missing hiker. Please feel free to share and get the word out.

I am a participant in the High Sierra Topix forums, where many really good people who love backpacking in the Sierra chat and share advice and stories. And one of those people, a very regular contributor to those boards, went missing last October as he hiked in the Sierra. Despite a major search effort, no trace of Larry was ever found.

Several High Sierra Topix members and some of Larry's friends from SoCal are now organizing a search at the end of July to see if they can bring some closure to his family. If you'd like to take part in this effort, you can learn more about it here:

I've been keeping up with this story...Hoping for a safe search and hopefully like you said, some type of closure for the friends and family.
