A few pictures of last weekends adventures around the Tahoe basin. We xc-skied along the beaches at South Lake Tahoe and the following day we showshoed up the backside of Elephants Back on Hwy 88/Carson Pass and enjoyed some killer views.

The Sierra's along the west shore of Lake Tahoe

We showshoed up as far as we could, then tried to climb to the tippy top of Elephants Back. The scree was too loose to safely climb.

But once we were near the top of Elephants Back, the views went on forever!
