Hi guys

I'm Dave from California and I'm into bushcraft, survival, hiking, backpacking and the outdoors.  I started off with fitness hikes and day hikes, and then ventured into backpacking and Im in love.   I've hiked most of the major peaks in southern california and have my eyes set on the Mt Whitney next.  I just signed up and can't wait to dig into the trail reports and read about all your adventures.

welcome!  What route on Whitney are you considering?  I have done both the "standard" route and the mountaineers route--would highly recommend the mountaineers route if you have the skills.  You can avoid the permit lottery if you go the mountaineer route before May 1.  If so, you will need crampons, rope, and ice axe (but it's great fun!)
