I had no idea that these permits super hard to get!!  Luckily, we have the option to choose between Marion Lake or Death Canyon Shelf for our first night and would like to know what you would choose and why?

I'm leaning toward Marion Lake rather than Death Canyon Shelf due to mileage.  I don't want to head-lamp-it into camp anyday and the shelf could be a good break spot on Day Two.  Buuuut, I heard Death Canyon Shelf has epic views, and might be worth the push.

I appreciate all your input and we are extremely excited!
