You can find the 'Hinterlands' book online here:  http://lostbranch.com/orders.htm

Another resource I highly recommend is the OutrageGIS map set for RRG here:  http://www.outragegis.com/gorge/

I also have a couple of suggestions on my website:  https://toddthehiker.com/kentuckys-red-river-gorge/red-river-gorge-off-trail/

I know this post is old, but I had a question.

Is the OutrageGIS map something that can be imported to a Garmin GPS?

I also just bought 3 books from Mr. Goodpaster.  Two on the Red River Gorge area, and one about Mammoth Cave.  I've got a group hike/campout in the Gorge in March, so I was hoping to get the books read before the trip so I will know a little more about the area.

No, the OutrageGIS Red River Gorge maps are physical maps not digital.

Thanks for all the information Todd.  I Just bought Hinterlands, Red River Gorge trail guide book, and the OutrageGIS map.  I also just found your Facebook page and liked that as well.

There is a group hike through the Facebook page "The Outdoor Adventure Life" happening in the Gorge in the middle of this month if you are interested.
