New From CA/AZ

Hi all. I just found this and I'm overjoyed! I live in Southern CA (originally from Northern) but I'm at university in AZ until May. I'm an avid hiker and I'm trying to find time to get more into backpacking. I'm on a pretty long track in school so hopefully I'll be able to find time. Happy trails!

I'd love to do the JMT soon. My boyfriend and I are going to start section hiking the PCT this summer, so I'm excited. I'm just so in love with the mountains, coming from a small town near yosemite. You can take the girl out of the mountains but you can't take the mountains out of the girl!

Oh God both of those trails sound so fun!  I think since you are an avid hiker you will no trouble getting into backpacking.  Believe me, the things you love about hiking come even more to life when you are staying over night out on the trail!
