do i want collapsible poles?

Price and weight aside, Im looking at:

Please help me understand the packing or hanging aspect realities. The collapsibles I can supposedly stash inside the pack or outside pockets, but will i have room for that really? Can I hang them from the pack in collapsed mode as shown in photos? You can only have these either in full size mode or collapsed. In full size, I dont think you can hang them from a packs hooks.

On the other hand the non collapsibles, you can have them in full size or the shorter size as shown in photos.

I've never had collapsible poles - always telescoping. I got the carbon fiber poles from Costco recently. This guy likes them:
