convertible pants

The Prana convertibles I got....they look pretty baggy and when converted to shorts look pretty dorky on me. The non convertibles are not as baggy, they look better. I know its not about looks but.....not sure I wanna prance into town post backpacking anywhere in the world with baggy pants or dorky shorts that hit below my knees....
