Been reading around paracord is so-so? Wondering what else out there?

I would need paracord or whatever else to hang bear bag and dry clothes.

personally, paracord is my go-to cordage.. It is cheap, durable and strong enough to do pretty much anything you need on the trail.. I keep a 50' length in my bag on every trip.

Utiility cord shouldn't be as stretchy as paracord.

REI sells lots of types like the following:

For just hanging a bear bag or a clothes line, you don't need a really strong line/rope. I use masons line for my tarp and have used it for a bear bag in the past. It has a tendency to cut into the tree branch so I have stopped using it for bear bags.

I use mason twine for hanging clothes. I like a reflective cord for hanging my food. I often get my food down in the morning before it becomes light. Reflective cord is much easier to see with the headlamp.
