Katahdin, Northern Terminus of Appalachian Trail 7-4-15

I hiked Katahdin in September of 2011.  I was really looking forward to knife edge but the weather was pretty atrocious and we had to alter our trail choices.  It was really windy (sustained winds of 20-30 mph and 50-60 mph gusts) and freezing fog.  I did get to experience ice feathers for the first time!  Beautiful area and I'd love to go back when the visibility is better.  I enjoyed your pictures.  Nice to see what we missed!  :-)
