I know a lot of people that visit Alaska and pick some of the worst trails or hikes to possibly go on and waste their time on the common trails. And do boring common things and barely even leaving Anchorage. 

 

I've been living here for the past three years and have hiked every trail in 120 miles of Anchorage. If you are planning a trip here ask away I've done nearly everything and fished every lake and river and taken almost every day cruise in Alaska.

I want to buy a summer home up here I am leaving in November due to PCS the military will be moving me god knows where. A trip to Alaska can be extremely affordable if you do it right.

Just got back from Kesugi Ridge and saw Denali every day.  I can not wait to return.

Chilkoot Trail is worth doing.  So are about 1,000 trips with no trails.

I have 3 days to camp or pack anywhere in Alaska. Could do a loop hike, or a there and back. Also really want to see some orcas. What do you recommend? Anyone interested in joining me?
